Google to end direct cooperation with Hong Kong govt on data requests

Google has said that it will no longer respond directly to data requests from the Hong Kong government. It added that it hasn't produced any data since the national security law imposed by China was enacted in Hong Kong. "As always, authorities outside the US may seek data needed for criminal investigations through diplomatic procedures," Google said.
