A researcher was awarded $6,000 bug bounty payout after he found that the messages and pictures he had deleted over a year ago were still stored on Instagram's servers. Saugat Pokharel, the researcher, reported the bug through Instagram's bug bounty program in October 2019. The bug was fixed earlier this month and Instagram said it found "no evidence of abuse".
