Lebanese Parliament grants military power in Beirut after blast

Lebanon Parliament on Thursday approved a state of emergency in the capital Beirut after last week's blast, granting the military power to declare curfews, prevent public gatherings and censor media. The military can also refer civilians to military tribunals for alleged security breaches. Lebanon's entire government resigned following the blast that killed over 170 people.
