A recent analysis by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) found the water quality of Delhi's Yamuna to be "critically worse". Out of the 14 monitoring locations, except for Palla and Surghat, the water quality failed to meet several quality parameters between 2015 and 2019. The findings also noted a declining trend in the water quality since last five years.
