Vidhu Vinod Chopra revealed that a Tamil Nadu distributor who had given him ₹5 lakh in advance for 'Munna Bhai MBBS' refused to buy the film after watching it. He added this happened three days before its release. "A friend of mine...who was...distributor had...one show in...big theatre...he gave me one...show...You know...how much...I made from Tamil Nadu? ₹1.67 crore," said Vidhu.
