Centre announces up to ₹6,908 bonus for govt employees ahead of Diwali

Central government employees will receive a non-productivity-linked bonus of up to ₹6,908 for 2025-26 ahead of Diwali, the Finance Ministry announced. The 30-day bonus covers eligible Group C and non-gazetted Group B staff not covered by productivity-linked schemes. Employees must have served continuously for at least six months and been in service on March 31, 2026.
