Gold hits 4-week high in global market amid Middle East war

Gold prices hit a four-week high on Monday in the international market as the Middle East war pushed the precious metal's safe-haven demands. As per KITCO, spot gold surged to a peak of $5,419.66 per ounce (around ₹1.6 lakh per 10 grams) on Monday. On Tuesday, spot gold hit a high of $5,379.9 per ounce (₹1.59 lakh per 10 grams).
