Karnataka plans new rules for tattooing over health risks

Karnataka is considering new rules to regulate tattooing due to potential health risks linked to tattoo inks. The state health department has sent a report to the Centre and plans to form an expert committee. Officials are examining ink safety, hygiene, equipment sterilisation and tattooing practices, amid concerns over infections and harmful chemicals or metals entering the bloodstream.
