NSE Indices launches Nifty500 Ahimsa Index for ethical investing

NSE Indices launched the Nifty500 Ahimsa Index, a thematic benchmark focused on ethical and Ahimsa (non-violence) principles. The index classifies firms into Green, Red, and Orange categories, and only those falling under the Green category are included. It follows the free-float market capitalisation weighting and may support the launch of ETFs, index funds and structured investment solutions.
