OpenAI fired 3 researchers over disappearing Signal messages: Report

OpenAI fired three researchers earlier this month after discovering they had used disappearing Signal messages to communicate with an external AI safety researcher, the WSJ reported. They were called into meetings and asked to unlock their phones after being suspected of leaking sensitive information. However, researchers claimed they were trying to encourage more open collaboration.
