PM Modi makes 'hazam' joke as he talks of 0% income tax on income up to ₹12 lakh/annum

PM Narendra Modi, while speaking at the NDTV World Summit 2026, said he has to repeatedly remind people that his government has made income up to ₹12 lakh/annum completely tax-free. "Jo mila woh hazam, aisa nahi chalta hai (Whatever you get you digest, that's not how this works)," PM Modi joked. "Ease of living is improving in India," he added.
