Sensex & Nifty fall for 7 consecutive weeks in longest such streak since 2008 crisis

Sensex and Nifty 50 recorded a seven-week losing streak, the longest since the 2008 financial crisis, according to reports. Sensex fell 4,603 points, and Nifty slumped 1,430 points in seven weeks since August 7. In this week alone, Sensex plunged by 963 points and Nifty by 274 points. Day-wise, both indices ended in the green on Friday.
