Sensex rebounds 790 points, jumps 1%; IT & Bank indices lead rally

BSE Sensex jumped 790 points, rising 1.04% and closing at 76,991 points on June 24, after markets lost nearly 900 points yesterday. IT index rose 1.68%, while ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and Infosys led the rally, with Bank index jumping 1.78%. This comes after HDFC shortlisted three candidates for the chairman. Meanwhile, Nifty rose 197.55 points or 0.83% to 24,021.65.
