Startup hiring set to rise in FY26 as AI talent demand grows

India’s startup hiring is projected to grow between 8% and 15% in FY26, driven largely by rising demand for AI & advanced tech talent. Companies are expanding cautiously, prioritising roles in AI, machine learning, data science & product development. Hiring demand is also increasing in quick commerce, fintech, e-commerce and logistics as startups scale operations and strengthen delivery networks.
