Study finds what eating tomato paste does to the brain
A randomised cross-over trial has found that eating tomato paste improves selective attention (concentration performance) and associative memory (attaching names to faces). Eating tomato paste supports cognitive function & modulates brain connectivity in healthy middle-aged adults, the study added. Tomatoes are a source of lycopene, a carotenoid that has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
