UNICEF warns over Bangladesh measles vaccine crisis

UNICEF has warned that Bangladesh’s worsening measles outbreak is linked to repeated vaccine shortages flagged to the previous interim government. The agency said it raised concerns through letters and meetings with health officials between 2024 and 2026. Reports suggest more than 60,000 suspected or confirmed measles cases and 481 deaths this year.
