$18.5M satellites stop sending signals after crossing Mars

NASA's briefcase-sized satellites, collectively called MarCO (Mars Cube One) which were part of an $18.5 million experimental mission have fallen silent in deep space past Mars. They were launched with NASA's Mars lander InSight to send data at each stage of its descent to Martian surface in near-real time. MarCO was the first interplanetary mission using these mini-spacecrafts, NASA said.
