₹785cr cash, liquor worth ₹249cr seized till phase 4 of polls

The Election Commission said that it seized cash worth ₹785.26 crore and liquor worth ₹249.038 crore till the fourth phase of ongoing elections. Narcotics worth ₹1214.46 crore, gold and precious materials worth ₹972.253 crore and other freebies worth ₹53.167 crore was also seized. The poll panel had appointed 97 expenditure observers for the fourth phase of polls.

India suspends visa services for Pakistanis with immediate effect after Pahalgam terror attack

In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, the government of India has decided to suspend visa services to Pakistani nationals with immediate effect. MEA said all visas issued would be revoked from April 27, and medical visas will remain valid until April 29. "All Pakistani nationals currently in India must leave India before the expiry of visas," it said.

Indian Navy's INS Surat test-fires missile in Arabian Sea
