A woman government employee alleged that Jana Sena MLA Arava Sridhar sexually assaulted her for over a year on the pretext of marriage and forced her to undergo abortion five times. She also claimed he repeatedly tortured and threatened her, and even coerced her husband into divorcing her. Arava denied the allegations, calling them "propaganda".
