Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said the ₹25,000 crore 'Maritime Development Fund' announced in Union Budget 2025 will be a game-changer. He said it will encourage private investment in the development of port and shipping infrastructure. It will provide long-term financing which will help in modernising infrastructure.
