The Finance Act 2026 could unlock around ₹4,000 crore in GST refunds stuck in litigation for Indian intermediary service providers like BPOs and sales firms, Moneycontrol reported. The change comes as the Act shifts the place of supply for such services to the recipient's location. Earlier, GST was levied as the place of supply was linked to the supplier's location.
