₹442 cr allocated to double the no. of platforms at Pune station

Pune railway station is getting a ₹442-crore upgrade that will double its platforms from six to 12, extend existing platforms and add new tracks and stabling facilities. An electronic interlocking system will improve safety and efficiency. The project is expected to enable around 20 additional daily train services and take about three years to complete.
