A Chennai man mistakenly threw a diamond necklace worth ₹5 lakh into the garbage. Upon realising his mistake, the man contacted the authorities and the necklace was found entangled in a garland inside a waste bin after an extensive search by the sanitation workers. The necklace was a wedding gift from his mother to his daughter for their upcoming ceremony.
