The ₹6100-crore Mussoorie-Delhi elevated road project will reduce travel time to just 2.5 hours. The new 180-kilometre stretch will provide a smoother, congestion-free experience, improved connectivity and also boost tourism. However, over 2,600 houses will face demolition. Authorities plan to compensate affected families under the Land Acquisition and Rehabilitation Act.
