The 'apocalyptic wildfires' in Chile have killed at least 18 people and forced nearly 20,000 to evacuate. Chilean President Gabriel Boric declared a state of catastrophe in the southern regions of Nuble and BioBio as the fires continued to rage. Authorities said around 8,500 hectares (21,000 acres) have burned so far, destroying at least 250 homes across the two regions.
