'Brainless' robots thinner than a human hair developed

Researchers at the Netherlands' Leiden University have built microscopic robots that can swim, navigate and adapt without a brain, sensors or software. Smaller than the width of a human hair, the robots are soft, chain-like structures made of 3D-printed segments. Their shape drives movement, while motion in turn alters their form, researchers said.
