PM Narendra Modi, who visited flood-hit Punjab on Tuesday, met the affected families and said, "We are committed to extending all possible help to everyone, including farmers, whose well-being is of paramount importance to us." PM Modi has also announced a relief package of ₹1,600 crore for the state. He also announced comprehensive support for children orphaned due to floods.
