Avadhut Sathe, often called 'dancing finfluencer', lied about trades that he had made to indirectly influence lakhs of his students to buy the particular stocks which he'd lied about. SEBI found that Sathe sent WhatsApp messages, lying that he'd bought/sold shares at particular prices. In some cases, he even directly gave trade recommendations, despite not being a registered trade analyst.
