Scientists say there is a huge threat of fungal pathogens and antifungal resistance - which is being left out of the debate on antibiotic resistance. According to experts, fungal infections are also adapting beyond the means that medicines can stop them causing a "silent pandemic" that needs to be addressed urgently.
