Delhi government has directed teachers from both private and government schools to be deployed for counting stray dogs across the city. This task has been classified as a top priority assignment. Teachers’ associations have opposed the move, questioning why departments dealing with animal welfare have not been given the responsibility. They said this would be a disturbance in students’ education.
