Don’t need help: Nepal rejects foreign rescue teams as flood toll crosses 400
Nepal government has declined foreign search-and-rescue teams, saying its own security agencies can manage the operations. “Don't need help with rescue operation from other countries,” Nepal’s Foreign Ministry said. Several countries, including India, China, US, UK, Japan and South Korea, had offered assistance. Nepal’s flood death toll has climbed to 469, with 1,545 people injured or rescued.
