A French doctor described by prosecutors as "Dr Death" has been sentenced to life for intentionally poisoning 30 patients, among whom 12 died. The 53-year-old, who was once seen by colleagues as a "star anaesthetist", did this in an attempt to discredit his co-workers. "You will be incarcerated immediately," presiding judge Delphine Thibierge said.
