'E-Nose', 'E-Tongue' machines to be deployed at Tirumala to guard prasadam quality

Andhra Pradesh government is establishing a cutting-edge food laboratory in Tirumala at a ₹25-crore cost to safeguard the quality of prasadam and food served to devotees. It will import France-made "E-Tongue" and "E-Nose" machines worth ₹3.5 crore to detect minute changes in ghee quality. A CBI investigation found that adulterated ghee was supplied to Tirumala temple between 2019 and 2024.
