'Golden modaks' being sold at ₹27,000/kg on Ganesh Chaturthi in Maharashtra

A shop in Nashik has unveiled 'Golden Modak', priced at a whopping ₹27,000 per kg, on the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. The gold-coated modaks have gone viral, with devotees specially visiting the shop to look at the sweet. This year, Sagar Sweets has introduced more than 25 varieties of modaks, ranging from traditional favourites to premium creations.
