'Haiwaan' failed, no more serious films with Akshay: Priyadarshan

Filmmaker Priyadarshan, who delivered several comedy hits with Akshay Kumar, spoke about the failure of 'Haiwaan', saying the audiences prefer them in the comic space. "This isn't the first time I've failed in a non-comedy genre with Akshay...A film called 'Khatta Meetha' too underperformed," said Priyadarshan, adding, "I don't think the audience wants to see us in the non-comedic space."
