Former IPS officer and BJP leader Kiran Bedi has said the government shouldn't have banned the documentary 'India's Daughter' without watching and analyzing it. Bedi, who has watched the documentary, said the film is "very strongly reflective of a prevailing mindset... in urban and rural settings". Further, she said it meets the "needs of crime prevention strategies" in Indian society.
