Veteran BJP leader Suryakanta Vyas, who was the oldest person to be MLA in Rajasthan, died aged 86. Fondly known as 'Jiji', she served as MLA from Jodhpur and Soorsagar three times each. In 2023 elections, she wasn't given a ticket due to her advanced age. Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma termed her death as a huge loss for BJP.
