In his Independence Day speech on Friday, PM Narendra Modi announced India was working on semiconductors in a Mission Mode. "By the end of this year, Made in India semiconductor chips, made by the people in India, will hit the market," he said. He added that the 21st century is technology-driven, and countries that excel in tech have achieved success.
