Heavy rain in Karnataka's Chikkamagaluru district uprooted a massive tree that crashed onto a house in Kalmaki Hinari village of Kalasa taluk late at night. The family inside miraculously escaped unhurt despite severe damage to the house. Villagers rushed to help the affected family, while residents urged authorities to remove dangerous trees and provide compensation.
