Prediabetes reversal cuts risk of heart issues by 58%: Study

A King's College London study suggested that reversing prediabetes by normalising blood glucose levels was linked to a 58% reduction in risk of cardiovascular death or hospitalisation for heart failure. People who reversed prediabetes had a 42% lower risk of heart attack, stroke and other cardiovascular events. The benefit remained evident decades after blood glucose levels returned to normal.
