CBDT Chairman Ravi Agrawal has commented on the delay in issuing income tax refunds. The Income Tax Department is analysing some of the claims, which were identified as "high-value" or were "red-flagged" due to claims of certain deductions, he said. "Low-value refunds are being released...We hope to release the remaining refunds by this month or by December," he added.
