Supreme Court on May 15, asked Telangana government for a plan to restore the Kancha Gachibowli forest to save itself from a contempt case. Government counsel AM Singhvi tried to convince the Bench that IT and ecology could go “hand in hand”. The court rejected it, saying deforestation wasn’t justified by claims of sustainable development.
