Amid rising tensions, Mumbai coast is on high alert with "shoot to kill" orders for straying vessels. The state fisheries department has warned fishing community not to fish near oil rigs and offshore defence areas along 877.97km Maharashtra coastline. The Indian Navy, state fisheries department, Central Industrial Security Force and Coast Guard, advised fishermen not to fish in sensitive areas.
