The European Space Agency shared a picture showing a 'smiley' formation on Mars and said, "Sometimes, salt deposits on Mars seem to smile back at you." It was captured via Colour and Stereo Surface Imaging System. ESA said Mars' chloride-bearing terrain doesn't stand out in regular black-and-white images but shows up a distinct pink to purple hue in colour-infrared images.
