'Super' El Niño may cause global food price shock lasting into 2028: Report

A "super" El Niño this year could trigger a global food price shock lasting into 2028, The Guardian reported, citing economists. Combined with food inflation driven by the Iran conflict, supply chains could face "two shocks at once". Goldman Sachs analysts estimate an extreme El Niño could drive global food commodity prices up by as much as 15.8%.
