'There is a challenge coming': Mukherjea on EMI-funded lifestyle

Author Saurabh Mukherjea said on a podcast that under-25s paying ₹2,500 per person by credit card at Mumbai restaurants on weekday nights was a sign of an impending challenge. "When autorickshaw drivers in Mumbai have the latest iPhones, you know there is a challenge coming," he said, adding that such phones are bought on instalments.
