One of the two pilots flying Air India flight AIC 171, which crashed and killed 274 people, relayed an emergency saying "mayday" before their plane crashed, India Today reported. The pilot's final words included "thrust not achieved", "falling" and "communication line during this transmission very weak". His messages sent to Ahmedabad ATC reportedly signify something went wrong after take-off.
