Meta's senior executive Joel Kaplan said the company's AI chatbot "in a small number of cases" claimed that the recent attempted assassination of ex-US President Donald Trump didn't happen. "These types of responses are referred to as hallucinations," he stated. He added that Meta AI was initially programmed to not answer questions about the attempted assassination.
