Global security expert Jeffrey Lewis warned that a "vengeful" Iran could move toward nuclear weapons after the US-Israel strikes. He said the technology is decades old and thousands in Iran can rebuild the programme if the regime survives. Lewis cautioned Tehran may reach the same conclusion as North Korea-that nuclear weapons are the best protection against the United States.
