Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu said his country's "victory" over Lebanese militant group Hezbollah created possibility for peace with Syria. "We're conducting talks with the Syrians -- there's some progress, but it's still a long way off," he added. Syria's President Ahmed al-Sharaa said that ongoing negotiations with Israel to reach a security pact could lead to results "in coming days."
